Hayy heto na naman ang problema mga pre. Nag-email na sa akin ang Lunarpages at pinapakuha na tayo ng dedicated hosting plan dahil mataas na ang usage natin. Isa sa mga gagawin ko para wag matuloy ito eh idisable na lang muna ang shoutbox at gallery para mabawasan ang processing natin sa server nila. Sa ngayon ay inilipat na nila tayo sa Medon server nila at binigyan ako ng 7 days para ayusin ang mga problema or else isususpend nila ang account natin. Hi,

Your account is utilizing excessive resources, causing a significant
degradation of services on the server. This is a shared environment and we can
not allow one user to utilize the majority of the resources on a server as it
affects all users adversely. Because of this, you have been temporarily moved
to the Medon server.

We moved you to Medon first to solve the issue of the degraded service on the
server and second as a courtesy in order to prevent any downtime on your
siteto allow you time to rectify the situation. Currently, your site is not
suitable for a shared hosting environment.
Medon is not a production server and is not guaranteed to run in the same
manner as your old server nor will it support all functions you may have. This
is a transitional server only and is not intended to be a permanent placement.
Please make a decision on how you would like to proceed within seven (7) days.
After seven (7) days, your account will be suspended if no other arrangements
are made.

You may log into Medon using medon.lunarservers.com/cpanel or
hxxps://medon.lunarservers.com:2083/ You will not be able to log into Sputnik
using the Lunarpages main login page as the server is non-production and not
available via that page.

You have the following options:

1. You may upgrade your package to our Dedicated hosting plan. For more
information on the features and pricing, please see

2. You may take steps to correct the problem. This must be done before the
seven (7) days are up. You will need to let the technician know the steps you
took to correct the issue and get approval before being returned to a
production server.

Please note that the above mentioned resource usage is due to PHP processing.
Since we do not have the exact scripts to provide (since the manner in which
PHP scripts are provided on the server only shows the username and not the
script name causing the high usage), you would need to review your accountfor
scripts that may be the cause. Please check ones such as forums, blogs,
content management systems, and galleries as these are especially likely to
create high usage.

Please note that the acceptable usage range for shuttle and voyager plans is
1.0% average %CPU or less, 1.0% average %Memory or less and Top Processes
below 20%. Currently, your usage far exceeds this range at

Alisin nyo na siguro ung option na lumipat ng host kasi kung sa ibang host baka di tayo tumagal ng ganito at kaagad na nilang sinuspend ung account natin. Mabait ang Lunarpages compared sa ibang host at "courtesy" na lang ung ginawa nilang paglipat ng account natin sa transition server nila kesa basta na lang ishutdown ung site. Dinisable ko na ang shoutbox na sa tingin ko ay siyang pinagmumulan ng napakataas na CPU at memory utilization natin. Hintayin ko ang sagot ng host natin at pinatingnan ko na sa kanila kung mataas pa rin ba ang usage ngayon.

Here's an update for our site. I've inquired about Marvinsweb.net's VPS server at mukhang medyo mahal. Ang pinakamura nila ay P600 per month at wala ung control panel - meaning dapat malupit ako sa Linux at SSH para maisetup ung site natin. Kung papalagyan natin ng Plesk ung plan, magiging P1700 per month na un. Kung GoldVPS naman with Cpanel, P2500 per month. Napakabigat yata masyado. Heto ung sagot ng may-ari mismo ng Marvinsweb.net:

I mentioned GoldVPS thinking you are not familiar with linux commands and management? If you know linux very well then SilverVPS is for you and setting up and managing your account won't be a problem for you. But if not, I would still suggest you get GoldVPS.

With Lunar did you also get a VPS? Because the data that you give seems that you have a shared hosting. With a VPS this has been eliminated, because the server guarantees you whatever resources is advertised or alloted to your account. The only time that this will be suspended is if your vps is bringing all the other vps down due to resource abuse, which happens only if you are running insecure scripts, giving out ssh access to unreliable users, etc.

Adult materials are not allowed in a shared environment, but since you will be getting a vps this is not the case as long as you don't post child pornography which is legally not allowed in any host.

Moreover if your site is eating up resources that means it is serving it's purpose and you should not hold it back. Our VPS are very flexible and scalable you can upgrade to the higher plan without any problems

To sum up things, I would not suggest that you get a SilverVPS if you don't have experience with linux command and ssh. For easy management and less learning curve go with Cpanel.

Hmmm paano kaya natin pag-aambag-ambagan yan? Parang ang bigat kasi eh 2500 per month. Pero ito na lang nakikita kong pinakamura at malapit na host (nasa Malate lang sila). Ung Montecarloshosting.net sana nakausap ko rin sa SMF forum ung may-ari mismo at supported talaga nila ang SMF kaso mababa ang bandwidth per month (up to 30GB lang) ung $25 nila. Sa ngayon kasi (4 days pa lang) eh naka-900MB na tayo ng bandwidth at baka tumaas pa itong lalo habang tumatagal tayo. Ano sa tingin nyo? Kung sa Montecarlohosting.net tayo, hindi pa VPS un at shared hosting pa rin (sabi ng may-ari kaya nila ang 40-50 simultaneous users online sa shared hosting at kapag tumaas na dun dapat ng lumipat sa VPS. Dito naman sa Marvinsweb.net ay VPS na nga ito at mas mataas ang monthly bandwidth (300GB per month at 15GB naman ang web space) at mas mataas ang allocated na resources compared sa shared hosting. Hay ang hirap pa rin magdecide kasi medyo malaking pera na gagastusin natin dito.

I would not recommend plesk for the reason of scalability and features. Plesk is so sensitive that you cannot even upgrade the php version and mysql version without problems. It also limits extensibility in the sense of features you can add without breaking plesk. You can google about plesk and it's troubles to prove my claim.

To convince you better I am giving you 1k of discount on your first month if you push the VPS within this week
