I have updated the Global Rules of APS as a result of too much profanity and obscene words observed in some recent posts. I have added the sentence in red font:

6) Keep the profanity to a minimum. Keep in mind that this website and its forum is visited by people from all walks of life, all ages and ethnic backgrounds. Many of which do not appreciate vulgar language. So, the less there is, the better the forum is for everyone. Besides, a foul mouth does not make you look very impressive. If you are seen posting profane words against a specific member, you will be warned and possibly banned from the forum if you continue to do so. If you are about to post a sex story or anything that is very vulgar and obscene, put it in a text file, MS Word document or PDF format and upload or attach in the post.

APS went online today at exactly 12 noon Philippines time after almost two days of down time. I hope the upgraded RAM will keep our server stable.

It has come to the attention of the APS Team that there are still many members who do not comply with the provisions of Global Rule No. 25, regarding the use of signature banners.  For the purpose of making sure that such signature banners do not in any way become distractions to the actual contents of the posts themselves, yet at the same time giving members the chance to express their individuality, it has been decided to amend Rule 25 and afterwards to actively implement and enforce compliance therewith.


As of 5:45:47 o'clock in the afternoon of Thursday, June 12, 2008, Rule 25 of the Global Rules has been further amended thus:

25) Your signature banner must not be bigger than 648 x 200 pixels, width x height orientation and should not be a hyperlink to another site, nor should it contain any links/hyperlinks unless such link or links lead to AllPinoyStuff.net itself, Pinoydownload.com, Toxicdownloads.net or our affiliate Yahoo Group, Private-Pinay.  Multiple signature banners with text are allowed provided their combined total dimensions must not exceed 648 x 200 pixels, width x height orientation.  Again, no links or hyperlinks are allowed in your signature banner unless they are those exceptions specifically and exclusively mentioned herein.


For our purposes:

A signature banner is an image, textual or any other graphic representation for use as personal signature of members in a forum or web board and includes everything found in the designated signature banner area, such as text, emoticons and the like.

To further clarify, the maximum allowed width of the signature banner is 648 pixels and the maximum allowed height thereof is 200 pixels.  If a member has two or more signature banners, with additional lines of text or any other graphic, their total combined dimensions must not exceed the size limit for either width or height, which dimensions are, to reiterate, 648 pixels and 200 pixels, respectively.  A marquee or running text, a built-in feature of our forum, which by its nature runs the entire width of the text field, is the only exception to the limit on size width; however, it must still conform to the rule limit on height.  Therefore, if one opts to include a marquee into one's signature, the banner + graphic + any other static text if any (combined total width of whatever can be found in the designated signature area except that of the marquee) must still not exceed the width limit of 648 pixels and the combined total height of whatever can be found in the designated signature area + marquee height must not exceed the height limit of 200 pixels. 

The other amendments, especially the aspects of Rule 25 regarding links, hyperlinks and advertisements, necessary as they are to conform with the other Global Rules particularly the preceding Rule 24, are clear enough.

This amended Rule shall take effect in the morning of Friday, June 13, 2008.  All registered members of APS are advised to change or modify their existing signature banner or banners, if any, to conform with Global Rule No. 25 as above amended.

Thereafter, the signature banner or banners of any registered member of APS found to be in violation of Rule 25 will be immediately deleted or modified accordingly.  Moreover, the member caught violating Rule 25 who cannot satisfactorily explain his failure to comply with said rule may also be subject to further sanctions as warranted under the circumstances.
